Towers in Vienna
Welcome to Vienna Skyscrapers. Here you can find some pictures of skyscrapers in Vienna taken in the summer of 2000 and 2001 by me, Tim de Bruijn. I wasn't very lucky with the weather so the pics are not that great I think. Vienna is the capital of Austria. The towers are locates mostly fare away from the old citycenter.
The tallest tower in Vienna is the Millenniumtower: 160 meters, 50 floors. It's an officetower built above a large shoppingmall. It's a stand alone skyscraper.
The second tallest is the Vienna twintower, 138 and 127 meters tall. It's on the other side of the city of the Millenniumtower. The facade is build out of 100% glass.:
The we arive in the Donaucity area, the modern office center of Vienna where also the UN-city is located. Here some skylineviews of this area::
The tallest tower in this area is the IZD turm, 133 meters tall:
This is Hochhaus Neue Donou, also located in the same area. When I was there last time it was still UC::
This is the tallest tower of the UN-city complex, UNO-city 1. It's 118 meters tall and completed in 1978.:
This is the Mischeckturm, a 110 meters tall residential complex in the same area:
The Andromedatower which you can see below is a nice looking residential tower just besides the talles UN-city tower, it's 97 meters tall:
And the last one for now, the Floridotower located on the leftbank of the Donau on the other side of the Millenniumtower. This one is 113 meters tall and completed in 2001. It is an officetower.:
